Garage and basement conversions

Existing space transformed into a comfortable, useful part of the home.

BUILT PROPERLY. MADE TO LAST.

A garage or basement conversion can create valuable living space without extending the footprint of a home. Good conversion work deals properly with insulation, moisture, ventilation, floor levels and the relationship with the existing rooms.

ST Builders undertakes conversions across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area, from straightforward garage upgrades to more involved structural and masonry work.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Does a garage conversion need planning permission?

Many garage conversions can be completed without full planning permission, but restrictions and previous conditions vary. Building Regulations will normally still apply, so the property should be checked individually.

Can you match the brickwork where the garage door was?

We select materials and set out the infill carefully. The exact match depends on the age of the property and brick availability.

Which areas do you cover?

We are Stoke-on-Trent based and cover surrounding Staffordshire locations, with South Cheshire projects considered by arrangement.
